On February 19 there in the Hall after N.K. Dauletova of National library of the RK of the Ministry of culture and sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place the Opening of the Centre “Parasat zholy” of National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for countering corruption in Almaty city.

The Centre “Parasat zholy” is opened within the framework of the project “Adaldyk alany” and the opening of the regional centres “Parasat zholy” in all the libraries of the republic.

The initiators of this action were the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for countering corruption and the Ministry of culture and sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

There in the solemn activity participated: A. Raimkulova, the Minister of culture and sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan; B.K. Ospanova, director of National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chairperson of the Kazakhstani Library union; E.T. Igilikov, head of the department of the Department of the Agency of the RK for countering corruption in Almaty city; K.Myrzabayev, the chief imam of the mosque Kalkaman-2 of Almaty city; Mulyukova N.A., deputy head of the department of culture of Almaty city; A.N. Nailova, the advocate of the Almatinskaya city collegiate of advocates; A.K. Baiuzakov, director of the Republican library for the blind anjd weak-sighted citizens; G.S. Tokabayeva, director of the Almatinskaya regional universal library after S.Seifullin; Muratkhan Shokan, the poet, member of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan, head of the Club “Zhas kalam”, and also the representatives of the Akimats of Almaty city and the Bostandyk district, the heads of the libraries of Almaty city.  

There on the basis of the Centre “Parasat Zholy” will be carried out the meetings of the youth with the well-know poets, writers, scientists, the state and public figures. This is the unique site for attraction of the youth to the work for the elaboration of effective solutions in countering corruption. Besides, the opening of the centre will become the effective site for interaction of different representatives of the civil society.

There in the Centre will be operating the permanent book exhibition “Sybailas zhemkorlykpen kures. Fight with corruption”, dedicated to the civil-legal aspects of such a social phenomenon like the corruption activity. This is one of the sharpest problems of modern society to which at the present time great attention is paid.

The purpose of the exhibition is the popularization of knowledge about the ways of civil counteraction of corruption. The materials of the exhibition tell one about the anticorruption state politics in Kazakhstan, about the measures for countering corruption, about the responsibility for the corruption crimes, and also about the intolerant attitude to corruption because the effective fight with it in unthinkable without the responsibility of all the citizens. The exhibits also acquaint one with the system of measures directed at the extermination of corruption, they narrate about the responsibility for the corruption crimes and about the social danger of the consequences of this phenomenon.

There at the exhibition are presented the editions from the fond of National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, these are the monographs, the study manuals, the collective scientific collections, the materials of the conferences, the magazine articles. There from the editions one can get useful information about the history of corruption, the ways of its prevention and the fight with it.          

The literature presented at the exhibition is divided by the themes: the legislative base, the kinds of corruption in different spheres (culture, education, medicine ,business etc.), the formation of the anticorruption culture, the current situation in Kazakhstan and abroad, the forms of corruption and its manifestations in different spheres of life. One of the parts presents the articles from mass-media which disclose different aspects of this notion.

There to the solemn activity were invited the representatives of the creative intelligentsia of Almaty city, the teachers and students of the colleges and universities, the readers.
