On November 30 at 11:00 hours there in the reading hall after Oraz Zhandosov of the Service “Kazakstan kitaptary” within the framework of the 30-th anniversary of ndependence of the Republic of Kazakhstan will take place the meeting of the readers with the well-known writer-bolashakger, the first author of the serial scientific-bolashak novels in Kazakhstan, the winner of the Literary prize of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan and the International prize “Baikonyr” Zhunis Sakhiyev.

Sakhiyev Zhunis was born on March 1, 1950 in the aul Almaly of the Baidibekskiy district of the Turkestanskaya region. In 1977 he graduated from the philological faculty of the Kazakh state university after S.M. Kirov (today the Kazakh national university after Al-Farabi).

Zh. Sakhiyev began his labour activity in 1966 as a telegraphic operator in the communication department in the district centre Chayan. After the service in the Soviet Army he worked as a worker in the republican newspapers “Kazakstan pionery”, “Sport”, as editor in the publishing house “Mektep”. In 1988-2007 he worked in the Chief editorial office of “Kazak encyclopaediyasy” as a scientific, senior scientific editor and head of the Department of scientific editorial office for Technology and Astronomy, chief editor of the publishing house “Foliant”, where up to the present day he is a worker of the publishing house.

In 1971 Zh. Sakhiyev wrote his first novel “Tirshilik uyasy” from his author’s series of the scientific-bolashak novels under the general title “Kenistik koshpendilery”. As for today, there within the framework of this series are published 14 separate books, which became accessible for the wide auditorium. There in his works the author shows the scientific-technical achievements of man in the space of the sidereal world, by giving the sharp-plot situations through the destinies of his personages in the conquering of good and justice, fundamentally and scientifically proving the mastering of the sideareal world. The novels of the writer are created on the basis of the scientific knowledge.

There within the framework of the meeting from the fond of National library of the RK will be organized the book exhibition “Gylym bolashagynyn zhazushysy” about the life and activity of Zh. Sakhiyev, presented his scientific and scientific-popular works, translations, literature about him and his articles on the pages of the newspapers and magazines, and also the demonstration of the slide photographs.

Zh. Sakhiyev is not only the professional writer-bolashakger and astronomer but also the popularize of astronomy and other natural sciences, the author of the scientific-cognitive articles about the Kazakh and world scientific-bolashak genre: “Tirshilik uyasy” (1983), “Borysh” (1987), “Shenberdyn tuiysuy” (1991), “Kokten kelgen koshpendiler” (1999), “Marstan shykkan zhangyryk” (2002), “Kimaityn alem” (2003), “Kosmotarikh kuasy” (2006), “Su aleminyn sazdary” (2008), “Zhasampazdyk kiyrynda” (2009), “Garyshtan kelgen gul” (2011), “Kyuzetshi” (2013), “Zheke alem” (2020), “Kupiya kenistyk” (2021) and others. Also Zh. Sakhiyev translated into the Kazakh language the textbooks ”The astrophysics” of the well-known scientists M.M. Dagayev and V.M. Charugin (1996) and “The astronomy” of E.P. Levitan (1998).

In 2014 there in Astana city in the publishing house “Foliant” in the series “Ulken encyclopaedia” for the first time in the Kazakh language came out the ancyclopaedia ”The astronomy” compiled by Zhyunis Sakhiyev. He is one of the compilers of the encyclopaedia “Abai”, dedicated to the 150-th anniversary of the great poet. In 2018 there by the recommendation of the Ministry of education and science of the RK into the textbook and the reader “Kazak adebiyety” for the 8-th form of the Kazakh secondary school were included the works of the writer “Aidagy zhasynynbak” and “Dabyl”.
