On October 4 online seminar "School of cataloging - advanced training of library specialists on-line" with the participation of 215 librarians from Karaganda, Kostanay and East Kazakhstani regions was held at the Cataloguer school of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The specialists of the Information Resources Service delivered lectures K.D. Avelbekova “Library classification system in the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Basic rules for indexing", E.O. Medetova "Selection of information and creation of the current bibliographic index New literature about Kazakhstan" and the creation of analytical and bibliographic descriptions of articles from the electronic newspapers in PDF format in the "Cataloguer" module of the WEB-RABIS program.

During the seminar, the participants discussed issues related to the compilation of  bibliographic descriptions and the selection of information from the electronic resources.
