On April 23 there at National library of the Republic of Belarus took place in the distant  format the scientific conference «The XVII-th International book-study readings», at which there made the report “The Russian Slavic book in the fond of are books and manuscripts of National library of the RK” the worker of the scientific-methodological service of National library of the RK A.L. Krivkov.

There in the report is highlighted the structure of the rare fond and the history of its acquisition , there are considered the most valuable collections, namely the collection of the Persian manuscripts and also the Moslem spiritual theological literature, and also there are considered the stages and main tendencies of the formation of the fons in 1930-2000.

The conference is organized by National library of the Republic of Belarus with the support of the Ministry of culture of the Republic of Belarus where there were also discussed the issues of history of the Byelorussian book, the library and the librarianship of Belarus, the modern bibliological schools, researches and conceptions.

There at the conference participated the colleagues from the countries of the CIS, Ukraine, Poland and other countries.
