The information and analytical review «Libraries of Kazakhstan-2020»  has been published, which presents statistical data on the most important areas of work of libraries of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main issues of the development of librarianship, including financing, coverage of the population with library services, the density of the library network and the availability of libraries are highlighted. The indicators of statistics of the library fond, user service, library personnel, provision of electronic information equipment are considered in the dynamics for the three-year period from 2018 to 2020.

The statistical data reflect the impact of quarantine measures introduced in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2020 to combat the COVID-19 pandemic on the state of many interrelated indicators of librarianship, such as the number of registered library collections, etc.
