On September 24 at 11:00 hours there in the hall after N. Dauletova took place the conference named “The Afghan war: the history, the experience, the point of view”, organized by the Department of Social development of Almaty city and the social foundation “Mangilik Kazakhstan”.

Although there passed more than 30 years from the end of the Soviet-Afghan war, there in our society are different points of view about it. It’s natural in accordance with the historical science that with the passage of time the views change. There at the conference this matter was discussed. The activity was opened the librarian of the Service of exhibitions and cultural programmes of the National library of the RK Karabayev Kurmet and then headed by doctor of science (history), professor , veteran of the war in Afghanistan Bolat Sailan.

The guests who spoke: head of the council of the union of the veterans of the Afghan war the Almaty akimat, veteran of the Afghan ware Murat Abdushukurov, chief editor of the magazine “Baldyrgan” Dyuisen Maglumov, chairman of the council of veterans of the Talgar district, veteran of the Afghan war Kazhymukan Alzhanov, chairman of the republican social union in Almaty city, veteran of the Afghan war Marat Saibekov and others.

 There in the activity participated the scientists-historians, veterans of the Afghan war, the students of colleges and universities and mass-media representatives.
