There in the reading hall of the periodical editions of National library of the RK is organized the exhibition “Kazakstannyn akparat kenistigy”.

The exhibition consists of the following divisions:

The division “Kazaktyn merzimdy daspasoz damu tarikhynan”.

The appearance of the first newspapers  of the Kazakh periodical press “Turkistan ualayatynyn gazety” (1870-1882), “Dala ualayatynyn gazety” (1888-1902), “Kazak” (1913-1918) became the symbol of development of national press.

The Kazakh literary journal “Aikap” was published in 1911-1915. In the journal “Aikap” under their own surnames and the pseudonyms the first publicistic and literary works were published by Sabit Donentayev, Myrzhakyp Dulatov and many others.

The division “Sholpanzhurnalyna – 100 zhyl”. The magazine “Sholpan” was published from October, 1922 to June, 1923 in Tashkent city. The Kirgiz- Kazakh edition which saw the light once in a month, highlighted the issues in politics, about the national economy, education, literature and topical problems in the life of the people. Altogether there were published 8 numbers. Chief editor was Isa Toktybayev, there with the magazine worked the patriots of the nation, the public figures: N. Turekulov, S. Khodzhanov, S. Asfendiyarov, T.Ryskulov, O.Zhandosov, M. Dulatov and others.

“Zhuldyz” is the literary-artistic and public-political magazine. It is published from 1928 as the magazine “Zhana adebiyet”, at the beginning of the 1930-s “Adebiyet maidany”, after that “Adeniyet zhane iskusstvo”. From 1957 is is published under the title “Zhuldyz”. The history of the magazine reflects the development of literature of Kazakhstan in the XX-XXI centuries.

“Kazakstan ayeldery” is the public-political, literary-artistic magazine for women. It is formed on the basis of the newspapers “Kazak ayel” and “Tendik”(1925). From January, 1926 it comes out under the title “Ayel tendigy”. In 1935-1941 and 1950-1954 – “Stalin zholy”. From January, 1955 it has the title “Kazakstan ayeldery”.  

The division “Kazak kyuntizbesine – 100 zhyl”. “The Kazakh calendar” is one of the first editions of reference literature in the republic. The first copy was published in Orenburg in 1922 by the “Kazgosizdat” in the Kazakh language (on the basis of the Arabic script). “The Kazakh calendar” contained brief data from the history of the Kazakh people, about the geography and territory of the republic, about agriculture, industry etc.

Up to 1931 the calendar was published in Kzyl-Orda entitled “Sharua kalendary”, it was printed in the Latin script. There in the preparation of the editions participated: B. Mailin, Dzhansugurov, E. Aldongarov and others. The calendars belong to different types: the tear-off ones, the flip calendar, the table-calendar, the pocket calendar, the everyday calendar and others.

There at the exhibition are presented the historical periodical editions from the fond of National library of the RK, articles about the history of the Kazakh periodical press, published in the magazines: “Kazakstan kommunisy”, “Akikat”, “Kazak tarikhy” and others, the magazines  “Aikap”, “Zhuldyz”, “Sholpan”, “Tan-Sholpan” and also “Kazak kalendary” for different years.
