On June 29 at the N. Dauletova Hall of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held an international scientific conference "International importance of the work of M.O. Auezov" dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh writer, scholar Mukhtar Omarkhanovich Auezov in online and offline formats.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the International Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures under the auspices of UNESCO, and the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the framework of the UN Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures.

The purpose of the conference is to comprehend and study the literary, society-political and scientific ideas in the works of Mukhtar Auezov.

The moderator was Yerbolat Auezov, honored scientist of Kazakhstan, a researcher of the International Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures under the auspices of UNESCO.

The greeting speech was made by the world famous poet and public figure, Director of the International Center for the rapprochement of cultures under the auspices of UNESCO Olzhas Suleimenov.
