From June 3 to June 30, 2019, the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a book exhibition dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the famous poet, akyn improviser Shiniyaz Shanaiuly.

Shiniyaz Shanaiuly was born in 1819. He was the same age as the poets Makhambet, Abyl, and is considered one of the outstanding tokpe poets of the Volga-Urals, Naryn sands. In his reflections, he revealed the colonial policy of the Russian kingdom, praised the ideas and goals of his country.

Some poems of the poet in 1966 were included in the book "Shiniyaz", compiled by A. Gabdullin. In 1991, the collection "Alkalasa aleumet" was published, which contributed to a wide coverage of the poet's work.

The exhibition was attended by students of universities of Almaty and the readers of the National Library.
