On September 13, 2024, librarians of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulmira Sarmanovna Manasova and Tileukabil Aiganym Aikhankyzy attended the opening of the photo exhibition «Islamic Architectural Heritage of Hungary».

The exhibition was organized by the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is dedicated to the architectural monuments of Hungary.

The photo exhibition was organized by the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with the Consulate General of Hungary in Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the photo exhibition is to familiarize visitors with the most important Islamic architectural monuments of Hungary - mosques, minarets and hammam baths, which are located in 5 Hungarian cities in the city of Pecs, Szigetvar, Eger, Sziklos and Budapest. These monuments reflect the 150-year-old Ottoman period of Hungarian history.

The Director of the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan Haripova Rashida Yerimovna made a welcoming speech, as well as the Deputy Head of the Mission of the Consulate General of Hungary in Almaty, Mr. Peter Shiklos; Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Almaty, Mr. Evren Mudderrisoglu.

The exhibition featured 28 paintings and photographs, which were accompanied by short descriptions in three languages.
