From November 4 to 8, 2024, specialists from public libraries of the Mangystau and Atyrau regions underwent training underwent training at the Cataloguer School of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The students were introduced to international and national documents on cataloguing, rules for compiling bibliographic records, creating and forming electronic catalogs and databases, issues of organizing the acquisition of library collections and scientific and methodological activities of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Lectures and practical classes were held on 5 modules of the domestic library and information system Web-RABIS. During the training, students exchanged work experience and took an active part in library events.

An introductory tour of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the «Alatau Creative Hub» center was organized for the training specialists.

Upon completion of the course, students were awarded certificates.
