On November 14, 2024, Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Library Union, holder of the Order of «Kurmet» Ospanova Bakytzhamal Kairbekovna and head of the Fund Storage Service Bekturbekova Fatima Kuralbekovna took part in the library convention «Kitaphana zhane onirdin madeni keniistigi», which was held in the district House of Culture named after Mels Uzbekov of Kulan village of Turar Ryskulov district of Zhambyl region.

Organizers: Department of Culture and Language Development of the Akimat of Zhambyl region, Zhambyl Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Sh. Ualikhanov, district Department of Culture and Language Development of T. Ryskulov district, central district library.

Purpose: to activate local history work in the libraries of the region, popularize among librarians the work on the introduction of new methods and forms of work, information technologies through the promotion of local history literature, the development of research skills of librarians, increasing the professional competence of specialists, their innovative activity and strengthening human resources. The moderator of the event is the director of the Zhambyl regional Universal Scientific Library named after Sh. Ualikhanov Abdinova Elmira Eleusizovna.

At the opening of the event, the head of the Department of Culture and Language Development of the Akimat of Zhambyl region, Zhunusbai Yerlan Nurmanovich, Director of the National Library, made a welcoming speech

 RK Ospanova Bakytzhamal Kairbekovna and akim of the district T. Ryskulova Yessirkepov Ernar Serikkalievich.

Bakytzhamal Ospanova donated 60 copies of books from the exchange reserve fund of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the fund of the centralized library system of the T. Ryskulov district. She also awarded a number of librarians of Zhambyl region with badges «Kitaphana isinin uzdigi», «Kitaphana isinin ardageri», certificates of honor of the National Library and the badge of the Kazakhstan Library Union «Kazakstan Kurmetti kitaphanashysy».

Within the framework of the library convention, B.K. Ospanova made a presentation on the topic «Olketanu - kitaphana kyzmetinin magynalyk negizi». The participants of the event shared their experience in promoting local history work. In addition, trainings were held in such popular areas of modern library: «Kitaphanada RFID zhuyesi: bugin zhane bolashakka zhana kadam» – empirical coaching; «Marketing. SMM zhane kitaphanashi. Media zhane akparattyk sauattylyk». At the end of the library convention, a communicative team building «Kitaphana – zhetik alany: kitaphanalyk madeniyet – ten jagdaydagi dialogue» was organized.

An exhibition gallery «Kut bereke darygan, kieli meken - Kulan eli» in the ethno–village style was prepared for the participants of the event.

The regional library convention was attended by the directors of regional, city, district libraries, heads of methodological and service departments, library specialists and employees of departments for children and youth services.
