On November 10, the final meeting of the best readers of the project «Poetic Duels», which took place in three stages, took place in the Great Hall of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the format of the Book Corner of Russia.
The event was held jointly with the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Almaty and the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Poetic duels were dedicated to the anniversaries of famous writers. The first stage took place at the site of the Representative Office of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Almaty on July 30 and was timed to coincide with the 130th anniversary of the Russian poet, playwright and screenwriter Vladimir Mayakovsky and the 90th anniversary of the Russian novelist, director and screenwriter Yevgeny Yevtushenko.
The second stage also took place at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan on September 8 and was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Russian poet and novelist Eduard Asadov and Dagestani poet, novelist and publicist Rasul Gamzatov. In this competition, among the many participants was a specialist of the World Literature Service of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lukpanova Ayaulym, she read the poem «Ana tili» by Rasul Gamzatov in Kazakh.
The final meeting of the best readers was dedicated to the works of several authors: Boris Pasternak, one of the greatest Russian poets of the XX century; Kazakh public figure, poet, writer, diplomat and literary critic Olzhas Suleimenov; Russian poet and writer Sergei Yesenin.
The jury members were: Ksenia Ron – director of the TeatRon cultural space, director, actress, acting teacher, art therapist; Maria Makarova - president of the children's charity foundation «Right to Love», producer of children's programs on the First Social Radio in Kazakhstan SectorX, head of the theater workshop, author of five books; Maria Simakova - Head of the Russian House in Almaty, Candidate of Philological Sciences, expert in the field of intercultural communications; Botagoz Aldongarova – Executive Director of the National Fashion Week Kazakhstan Fashion Week, Director of the communications agency «Sabon&K», head of the editorial office kfw.kz , lecturer at TURAN University.
Pupils of the Maria Makarova Theater Workshop presented their debut creative performances for the guests of the competition.
The winners of the Poetic Duels project were: Estore Nakupbekov and Denis Vasiltsov.
According to the results of the competition, the participants who won prizes received diplomas and memorable gifts, as well as cash prizes from the sponsors of the project.
