On April 1, the collection «Saken Seifullin and Folklore» about the outstanding Kazakh poet and writer Saken Seifullin, who made an invaluable contribution to the formation of Kazakh literature, was transferred to the fund of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The monograph analyzes in detail the folklore motifs used in the poet's poems and integrated into Kazakh literature.

In the reading room of the Art Department, a book exhibition  «Halyk murasyn zertteushi» was organized, dedicated to the 155th anniversary of the composer, ethnographer, folklorist, founder of Kazakh musical culture, researcher and collector of samples of traditional music of different peoples, the first national artist of the Kazakh SSR Alexander Viktorovich Zataevich.
