On April 23, 2024, in the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the annual book festival  «Kitapshow-2024», dedicated to the World Book and Copyright Day, a memorial evening «Shaken Aimanov - Kazakh kinosyn atasy» was held, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh actor, theater and cinema director, People's Artist Shaken Aimanov.

As part of the «Kitapshow – 2024», the OpenPlaceUSW event was held in the Hall of the Literary Academy - the Community of Writers of Kazakhstan, where an interactive platform for meeting authors, independent theaters, networking, book exchange, acting lessons, as well as an exhibition of books from young Kazakhstani writers was organized.

On April 17, 2024, in the hall named after N.Dauletova of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a round table was held on the topic «Sirek kitaptar men kolzhazbalardi zhinau, Aktau zhane zertteu» dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Maksut Shafiga, an Oriental scholar, researcher and translator of ancient manuscripts from Chagatai into Kazakh. The event was organized jointly with the M.O. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On April 11, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., the III International scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Hero of the Soviet Union and Army General Sagadat Nurmagambetov was held at the Sagadat Nurmagambetov Military Institute of the Land Forces on the topic: «Topical issues of the development of military science». A visiting book exhibition was organized from the fund of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the life and work of the military writer.

On April 2, the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was visited by a delegation headed by Academician A. Akmataliev, director of the Ch. Aitmatov Institute of Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, in order to conduct research work «Aitmatov and Kazakhstan» for the publication of the «Aitmatov Encyclopedia».
