On October 15 at 11:00 a.m., in the hall named after N. Dauletova, within the framework of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the opening of a book and photo exhibition devoted to the history of the organization "Zhas Tulpar" was held.

"Zhas tulpar" was an informal association of Kazakh youth who studied at universities in Moscow and Leningrad in the 1960s. It positioned itself as a cultural and educational society. However, the political views of the members of the Zhas Tulpar movement contradicted the canons of the ideology of the time. The activities of Zhastulpar were carried out in three directions: mutual assistance in studies; seminars on the history and culture of the Kazakh people, combined with in-depth study of the native language; theoretical understanding of national problems in the philosophical, political and sociological aspects. The spirit and school of Zhastulpar camaraderie and today firmly bind the participants of the movement. They remain faithful to their ideas, which were formed in their youth and which lead them through life. Today in Kazakhstan and beyond, there are a considerable number of young people who carry on the cause of "Zhas Tulpar".

In the opening of the exhibition and ribbon cutting ceremony participated: Murat Mukhtarovich Auezov, Marat Katayevich Sembin, Zhamila Idrisovna Namazbayeva. The employee of the Service of exhibitions and cultural programs Kurmet Karabayev acquainted the guests with the exhibition, at which materials from the fund of the National library of the RK and archives of the participants of "Zhas tulpar" movement were presented.

Then the round table was held by Bakhyt Zhagyparuly, a well-known journalist, the head of the Almaty branch of Radio "Kazak" and "Shalkar". The participants observed a minute of silence in memory of members of the "Zhas Tulpar" organization who are not among us anymore. Singer Kanat Amirkhanov performed the song "Jas tulpar" on verses of Kaldygul Janybaeva.

The first word was given to Murat Mukhtarovich Auezov, one of the organizers of the "Zhas Tulpar" association, a well-known cultural scientist, public figure and statesman. Then Kaldygul Janybaeva, Nurzhan Kunimzhan and Olga Zorina were presented with certificates of the organization "Zhas Tulpar".

Zhemis Turmagambetova, Zhamila Namazbaeva, Marat Sembin, Khadisha Baltabaeva, Asiya Mukhambetova, Zhamila Aukhadieva, Sara Tynyshtygulova, Bibiaysha Kalauova and others shared their memories.

The event was attended by public figures, poets and writers, Kazakh youth studying in Russia, media representatives, and others.
