On 1 June to mark the International Children's Day, at the Big Hall of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held a presentation of the collection "I’ll tell you a fairy tale. Tales of Kazakhstan" and a musical evening.

The aim of the event is to instill in children a love of reading books and a respect for different nationalities and cultures.
Deputy Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan for information technologies and innovations Iskalieva Nuriya Amangalievna, Deputy Director of the National State Book Chamber Salmenbaeva Tolkyn Turgalievna, Senior research officer of the Centre for Dungan and Chinese Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, candidate of philological sciences Ismaeva Rakhima Muhmeevna and representative of Shin-Line Suleimenova Dinara Jenisbaevna made a speech before the participants of the celebration.
A collection for children published by «Kokzhiek – Gorizont» includes 32 ethnic fairy tales. The author, Natalya Novoseltseva, spoke about her work on the book and read out excerpts from the tales.
The event was attended by children from the «Crisis Centre «Zhan-Saya» and ethno-cultural centres in Almaty.
At the end of the event, the children were presented with gifts and certificates of appreciation, and representatives of Shin-line distributed ice cream to the children.
