As part of the «Kitapshow – 2024», the OpenPlaceUSW event was held in the Hall of the Literary Academy - the Community of Writers of Kazakhstan, where an interactive platform for meeting authors, independent theaters, networking, book exchange, acting lessons, as well as an exhibition of books from young Kazakhstani writers was organized.

Students of schools and colleges invited to the event took part in an interactive quiz conducted by Community writers. The acquaintance was consolidated by an interesting discussion between the audience and writers on the topic of the author's vocation, the formation of writing talent, and the development of public speaking skills.

The author Irina Bakulina donated the book «Night in the Library» to the fund of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In a separate hall, the independent experimental theater «Art Shelter BUNKER» held a lecture «How it happens, modern theater: verbatim technique, site-specific, technological and witness performances», where all participants were able to show their talent in writing a mono play for an actor, which was immediately presented.

The heads of the Playback theater «THREE», Ksenia and Evgeny Drachukov, conducted dynamic acting practices, introduced the playback format.

At the end of the event, the Community of Writers of Kazakhstan donated their author's works to the National Library fund.

The organizers of the event were presented with letters of thanks and commemorative books from the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
