On April 23, 2024, in the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the annual book festival  «Kitapshow-2024», dedicated to the World Book and Copyright Day, a memorial evening «Shaken Aimanov - Kazakh kinosyn atasy» was held, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh actor, theater and cinema director, People's Artist Shaken Aimanov.

Sharkhan Muhammad-Kanapiya Sharkhanuly, an employee of the Exhibitions and Cultural Programs Service, opened the arnau evening.

The moderator of the evening was the famous film producer Torebai Kanat Ashirbekovich.

The guests who spoke were: outstanding actor, People's Artist of the USSR Asanali Ashimov; chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of Kazakhstan Adai Kunanbayuly; famous film director, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Kalila Omarov; famous film director, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Tekeev and many others. During the event, the artists and directors told and shared their memories of the outstanding personality Sh. Aimanov, who made a significant contribution to the development of Kazakh cinema and his outstanding roles in cinema and theater.

During the evening, fragments of a documentary film and live performances by Sh. Aimanov were shown.

A student of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, a student of the famous traditional singer Yerkin Shukman Zhappar Ablay Kanayuly performed a version of Sh. Aimanov's song «Twenty-five».

The participants of the evening are actors, the Union of Cinematographers of Kazakhstan, teachers and students of the Zh. Yelebekov Variety and Circus College, the Central Asian Technical and Economic College.
