The state flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan
The State flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a rectangular cloth of blue colour with the depiction in the centre of the sun with the rays, under which is the soaring eagle. The shaft has the national ornament as the vertical stripe. The depiction of the sun, its rays, the eagle and of the national ornament are gold-colored. The ratio of the width of the Flag to its length – 1:2. The blue single-color of the State flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan reflects not only the commitment to the idea of unity, but also reminds one about the cloudless sky, which always and for everyone is the embodiment of peace, tranquility and welfare. In the language of heraldics the blue color and its shades correspond to such human qualities like honesty, fidelity, hope. The golden sun basking in its own rays embodies tranquility and wealth, and the steppe eagle – generosity and vigilance, the highness of thoughts of the Kazakhstanis. The author of the State flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the artist Shaken Niyazbekov. |
The state coat-of-arms of the Republic of Kazakhstan
The State coat-of-arms of the Republic of Kazakhstan has the form of a circle and represents by itself the image of the shanyrak (the upper vaulted part of the yurta) upon the blue background, from which into all the sides there go the uyks (supports) in the form of the sun rays. On the right and the left from the shanyrak are situated the images of the mythical winged horses. In the upper part there is situated the voluminous five-pointed star, and in the lower part – the inscription “Kazakstan”. The depictions of the star, the shanyrak, the uyks, the mythical winged horses and also the inscription “Kazakstan” are the colour of gold. There in the basis of the State coat-of-arms of the Republic of Kazakhstan lies the shanyrak. It became the heart of the coat-of-arms. This is the hearth, the integrity of the world, the symbol of the basics of the state which is the family. The winged horse tulpar is the image of immortality, the endless development and spiritual richness of the peoples inhabiting Kazakhstan under one shanyrak. The tulpar is the symbol of preservation of the state system of sovereign Kazakhstan. The winged tulpar is the flight, the dream, the young generation, with which there are always linked hopes. The five-pointed little star crowns the coat-of-arms. Each person has its own loadstar. Such a star is to be with the state also. |
